Simon Bull

Simon Bull was born in Bedfordshire and studied Fine Art at Leeds Polytechnic, graduating with honors in 1980.

His highly acclaimed and unique mixed media etchings defined the look of a decade on the UK art market during the nineties and culminated in his nomination for best selling artist in 1997and 2000, winning the coveted Artist Print Award for the top selling UK printmaker in the year 2000.

After two sell out shows in Los Angeles and New York in 1997, his work soon took off in America, where he has received widespread recognition and critical acclaim. He is now represented by the world’s largest Fine Art dealer; with distribution on cruise ships world- wide.  He also heads his own publishing company that distributes to galleries throughout the USA.

Since moving to the USA in 2003 he has won the National Association of Limed Edition print of the year award twice, in 2003 and 2004. He was the official artist for the 2002 Winter Olympics and is now the official artist of Muhammad Ali who commissioned him to paint Barak Obama as his inauguration gift to the President. He is a licensed Disney artist and runs his own distribution and art-publishing studio in California.

In 2005 he was diagnosed and treated for colon cancer and since his recovery has worked to support many good causes. He considers every day a gift now and spends his career celebrating life, and the giver of life, through his vibrant work.
